The NHSP is a federal grants and contributions program whose goal is to support projects designed and led by seniors that help improve the well-being and quality of life of seniors and foster social inclusion and engagement of older Canadians in all aspects of society.

The Common Experience Payment (CEP) is a component of the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement. The CEP recognizes the experience of residing at an Indian Residential School and its impacts. Eligible applicants may receive $10,000 for the first school year (or partial school year) of residence at one or more residential schools, plus an additional $3,000 for each subsequent school year (or partial school year) of residence at one or more residential schools. Eligible recipients will receive a one-time payment of their full CEP entitlement.

The Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) is a long-term savings vehicle to help you, your child, your family and others save for the long-term financial security of a person with a severe disability. Contributions to an RDSP could be supplemented by Canada Disability Savings Grants from the Government of Canada. The Canada Disability Savings Bond is also available for low-income families even if no contributions are made.

The Youth Employment Strategy (YES) is the Government of Canada's commitment to help young people, particularly those facing barriers to employment, get the information and gain the skills, work experience and abilities they need to make a successful transition to the workplace.

The Canada Pension Plan is a contributory, earnings-related social insurance program. It ensures a measure of protection to a contributor and his or her family against the loss of income due to retirement, disability and death.

If you have lived or worked in another country, or you are the surviving spouse or common-law partner of someone who has lived or worked in another country, you may be eligible for benefits from Canada. Additional application forms for benefits from Canada, under social security agreements, will be posted as they become available. If the application form for Canadian benefits for the country in which you reside is not yet available on this site, please contact your nearest social security office to obtain one.

The Wage Earner Protection Program (WEPP) reimburses eligible workers for unpaid wages and vacation pay they are owed when their employer declares bankruptcy or becomes subject to a receivership.

The Labour Standards and Workplace Equity Directorate is a national clearinghouse of Employment Equity technical expertise. We provide information to employers on equal pay and employment equity as well as offer tools and resources for the implementation of employment equity in the workplace. The Employment Equity Computerized Reporting System (EECRS) provides a fast and easy way for the user to capture and compile employee data, then generates the Employment Equity Forms required by the Division.
